The Founders Café season one was sponsored by NITDA- National Information Technology Development Agency, office for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (OIIE). The Founders Café is an accelerator program that ran for 1 week from the 30th of November to the 4th of December 2015. This episode was aimed at accelerating, nurturing and investing in tech innovative early stage start-ups that have the potential to become scalable and competitive ventures in the Technology space in the Abuja environs.

The Founders Cafe provides a rigorous, comprehensive company-building prospectus to guide founders through validating their products, developing customer experience maps, building a formidable team, preparing for funding, and more. Through a week long coaching and feedback sessions led by top startup coaches and mentors, online chat groups group meetings with fellow founders, and challenging company building exercises, founders in the Founders café are poised to make several years of progress in just 1 week.

Isioma is a Nigerian serial entrepreneur with several years of experience running social ventures in governance and technology. In 2014, Isioma co- founded and run Gidigba social network service, an online network community of practice for entrepreneurs to gather, share resources, referrals, experiences and support. In 2015, Isioma is the Founder of the Founders Café to find the Innovative young startups in Abuja, coach and support them to be world-class companies, and connect them with other founders and funding sources around the world looking for top startups to invest in. 

Isioma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering from the Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Nigeria. Earned a Master’s Degree from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, LAUTECH and defending her Doctoral research on Technology Management from the University of Port-Harcourt. 

Iyinoluwa is a Nigerian serial entrepreneur with several years of experience running social ventures in education technology and publishing. At age 18, he interned for the World Youth Alliance in the United Nations Headquarters. He went on to run one of Canada’s largest student-owned publishing houses, Imprint Publications as President of the Board. Iyinoluwa helped found and run Bookneto Inc, a social e-learning platform. Bookneto Inc. was acquired in 2013. In 2014, Iyinoluwa co-founded Andela to find the brightest young people in Africa, train them to be world-class developers, and connect them with employers around the world looking for top technical talent. In 2014, Andela was named by CNN as one of top 10 African startups of 2014.

Iyinoluwa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Iyinoluwa is a recipient of several awards and honors including the John C Holland Award for Youth Leadership (awarded by JC Holland Foundation in 2010), Nigeria’s top 20 under 20 (awarded by Ynaija! in 2011), World Economic Forum Global Shaper in 2012, and Forbes 30 under 30 Most Promising Young Entrepreneurs in Africa in 2015.

SEGA (’Segun SEGA Awosanya) is a Masters Degree Holder from the prestigious University of Lagos, in the Department of Estate Management. A disciplined result oriented, energetic creative and technical director, media marketing consultant, broadcast engineer, researcher and realtor with over 16 years track record of creating and developing highly successful and innovative advertising, brand, information technology technical support and direct marketing campaigns (driven by strategy and powered by business objectives). He has consulted as well as worked for several entities amongst which are; CIS (Children’s International School project), MDSi (France), Compunethix, Twice as Nice Productions, Dina-Emms, Supermaster, Grant Properties, Dove Media, Entertainment Highway (HiTV), Sulphur Streams Oil and Gas, Westchase Oil and Gas, Advantium Oil & Gas, Bluebird Capital, Bluebird Technologies, Bluecore Technologies, Anabel Mobile, SEWA Assets Management, Brandworths Communications (South Africa), Major political parties in Nigeria (APC, PDP) just to mention but a few.
