One of the various Campaign promises as endorsed by the Party and proclaimed by the President
When a man assumes a public trust, he should consider himself as public property and the strength and power of despotism consists wholly in the fear of resistance. Anyone however pure he may be perceived can abuse power, especially in a majorly ignorant society like ours. There however lies no demilitarised zone, as he who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetuate it.

To those who says the administration is too young or it's too early to criticise the government. I guess we then must wait until our kids are fully grown before teaching and holding them accountable. I also feel the charge should be extended to condoning glaring denials and falsehood since they are too young and expect a miracle when they are of age.

Liberty lies in the hearts of men and women. When it dies there, no constitution, no law, no court can save it.The society breeds the government and as long as our society remain broken, making excuses for politicians based on personal or social interests, we will continue to be a third world nation preyed upon by imperialists.

Understand that government is a continuum regardless of who takes the helm of affairs. Our democracy may be young compared to other nations but that doesn't mean that they must not be held accountable for doing the job they assured us they will do better than the administration the horribly vilified. A nation which can prefer disgrace to danger is prepared for a master, and deserves one.

The Presidency is not a personal business owned by an individual or the ethnic group from which the individual springs, it is an idea, and if there's an iota of integrity in the people who claim they possess it, this should be an all inclusive government. Campaigns are over and we expect assertive governance with respect to the provision of the constitution of the Federal Republic.

The way and manner they rubbish the entire Nation just to make the erstwhile administration look bad enough for them to be preferred, shortened the rope that would have been extended to them for teething problems. We demand nothing but excellence from them as viciously advertised in their self engineered covenant to the Nigerian People.

They may have failed to deliver anything but pain, agony, denials, blackmail and witch-hunt in their first 100 days, which I personally regard as a setback, but they must not fail the next round of assessment. Only if every single citizen feels duty bound to do his share in this defense are the constitutional rights secure. If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be.

The best defense against usurpatory government is an assertive citizenry. "Nobody made a greater mistake than he who did nothing because he could only do a little". - Edmund Burke ‪#‎WatchTheChange‬
